At weekends I often go for traveling. Most of the time with my trainee friends from different countries, such as Germany, Italy, South America, Switzerland, Japan and so. Very interesting composition. Even local people are excited and curious about this kind of MASALA group.
Whenever we are walking on the Coaker's walk at Kodaikanal or streets in the city, we'll hear something like this:
"Heyyyy! Where are you from? Which country?? What's your name???"
If there's a bunch of young men gethering together, you'll hear them whistling sometimes.
Of course, most local people are very friendly. Sometimes too friendly to surprise all of us. If we're at tourist spots, some people will chase us all the way to have a photo with; some people will ask whoever has Digital Camera to take photos for them. But the fact is, they never want to leave us e-mail address to send the photo across. They just want to see how they look like from the little LCD monitor and then happily go away.
:: Smile Kids!!! @ Mamallapuram, India
Last time we went to Madurai to visit the famous Meenakshi Temple. Just after we took off our shoes and ready to rush into the temple due to limited time left, a family with around 10 members approached us, looked a bit shy, asking whether we can have a snapshot with them in front of the gate. When we possed the same smile to the camera and waited for the click, a woman from the family kindly asked whether we can hold the baby for this photo. HOLD THE BABY? I don't have much experience with such a little thing but unfortunately no time for refusing. It ended up with me holding the little sweetheart with a scared face because I was so afraid I'm gonna drop the baby to the ground!
Maybe we can start a business like WHO-WANTS-A-PHOTO-WITH- ME dot come to earn some money. Haha.
