After finising our New Year's Eve dinner, a cup of Chai might be a good start to introduce my family to Indian specialties. The truth is I was too full to do labor intensive work: grinding all spices to make masala; instead, I already got a ready made pack "Masala Tea" (bought from Nuts 'n Spices) to make my life easier.. although it's better to prepare all necessary spices by yourself (it tastes better!)

Steps are: (4 servings)
1. boil 1 cup of water.
2. add 4 teaspoon of Masala chai powder and simmer about 1 minutes.
3. add 3 cup of milk (better avoid nonfat milk to have richest taste!) into saucepan and bring to a second boil.
4. Preheat cups. Strain the chai, pour it into the warmed cups. Add sugar to taste (make it a bit more sweet...that's how Indian chai should taste like :)))) and serve immediately.
That's all!

::strain the tea (step4)

:: Of course, if served with some Indian sweets will be a great idea ;))
Next time I will try other recipes from this book to chai like Cardamon tea or chai or tea with strong ginger taste, the latter one perfectly suits winter time coz it will warm you up as soon as you have it :))

Yes the yellow squared sweet is your darling mysore park :))))
My Mom said it was toooo much sugar.. actually I did add too much that night :ppp
Do you think they have ginger? Or we have to bring it along with us on Sunday?@_@
