On the road again...

Awaiting for my shipment to be unlift at my southbank apartment at this moment - house is almost empty but the refridge with some leftover from the day before (or the day before yesterday?), stuffs that don't suit my room back in Taipei, and things that I'd rather leave them behind. You only realize how you have wasted money on things that you don't and you will not need. Too late it always is.

Last night I sat in front of my "almost tidy and empty" desk, writing the very first postcard to be sent from Melbourne to Taipei. Sending postcard has always been my or many people's habit when you're only a visitor to the city, and that's why I haven't done so during the past months. Yesterday I do feel strange to this apartment without my belongings messy around the wardrobe, bathroom and on the sofa. It was home and it becomes something else now, like any other hotel room... so I wouldn't be too depressed about the departure, would I?

From tomorrow I'll be going for a 1 month trip which starts from Alice Springs (yes the very famous Uluru!) with a couple of days camping trip, followed by a 3 days desert road trip all the way from Alice Springs to Cairns which is going to be an amazing journey since the bus will drive along the the skirts of Australian deserts. Upon arrival at Cairns, I'll join some backpackers for a 14 days party trip kicking off from Cairns, visiting a few places along the way and the trip will end up at Sydney from where I'm flying home. So it's my great adventure of 10 days at desert outback and 15 days for snorkling, sailing, (sky diving maybe?), sunbath and doing nothing. Fantastic!!

All right! I'm gonna live one last civilized day here in Melbourne and move on my backpacking trip (kinda of scary since I haven't really backpacked since 2002, I mean share my bedroom with other people ~_~). I'll see you on the way or back home!!
