Short Film Competition of the Filmfest Dresden 2005 – Entries Invited until January 5, 2005
Short films can be submitted until January 5, 2005 for the international and national competition of the 17th Filmfest Dresden which will take place from 12 to 17 April 2005. Films up to 30 minutes in length can be entered for the animation and short-fiction-film categories. With a total of over 50,000 Euro in prize money the Dresden festival is the best endowed short film festival in Europe. For the satellite program films up to 45 minutes in the animation, short fiction, experimental and documentary genres may be submitted. When applying online it is possible to take part in an online-competition that presents award-winning international short films for free. Each quarter the portal shows exclusively 20 selected shorts from all around the globe, which will be awarded with prizes worth 3000 Euro. The ‘Best-of-the-Best-Award’ endowed with 10,000 Euro will be presented once a year.
