i like anything that can take pictures with or without lens, SLR, RF, TLR, digital or film, pinhole, even camera phone, anything

one day, spider man and i went to a place called Ciao-Tou, 橋頭, literally means one end of a bridge. not sure if there was really a bridge, but it is the birth place for modern sugar manufacturing industry in Formosa.

this site once stood a japanese shinto shrine praying for the safety of employees and wishing for good production. now, a pair of stone lions is still carrying on what they have been told to. they seem more interested in my phone camera, though.

replacing the original shinto shrine, this auditorium was built around 50's or 60's, when the buildings in Formosa were mostly influenced by the idea of, i'd like to call it Le Corbusierism. reinforced concrete structure, pitched roof with enlarged junction r.c. frame. most important of all, using shaded but large window, in order to meet the needs of cooled fresh air and natural light.

same idea applies to windows on both side of the building. those windows also provide steady lighting for its multi-purpose: auditorium, theatre and cinema.

now, original site of the sugar manufacturing factory has been regenerated as a public park providing leisure activities for city tourists. they come here for greens and fresh air and enjoy its industrial atmosphere. and, of course, for its famous sweets: ice creams, ice bars. some nice sculptures spread around gives us some lovely surprise.
this is the photo of the camera phone that i used to take photos that day

alright, it's time to go home, my friend, with the company of our new friends: sunset and cyclist.
